Métier Promotes Simmons Lough to Vice President of Engineering

Métier, Ltd., an innovator in project portfolio management (PPM) software and services, announced today that Simmons Lough has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering.  In this role, Lough is responsible for the product and technology strategy for WorkLenz and PMO Central, Métier’s PPM solutions.

Lough leads the software development team, making client feedback a priority throughout the development cycle.  He has been instrumental in focusing Métier’s technology strategy on agile product development.  His team integrates collaborative concepts into WorkLenz that enable smarter project management and enhanced portfolio planning and oversight.  Lough played a crtical role in developing PMO Central, the first virtual, integrated software and services solution for PPM.

Lough is currently active in the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), an organization focused on improving the security of application software.  As part of OWASP, Lough contributed to the development of the NIST SP 800-53 guidelines, which were developed to help achieve more secure information systems within the federal government.  Lough previously served as Métier’s Director of Product Delivery, leading the software development team responsible for WorkLenz customizations, configurations and integrations to meet specific client needs.  Lough earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Economics from the University of Virginia.
