Project Portfolio Management Innovator Expands Portfolio to Four Patents

Métier, Ltd., an innovator in project portfolio management software and services, announced today that a fourth patent has been granted to the company.  The invention is built into the company’s WorkLenz software.

Métier’s newest invention incorporates natural language processing and predictive algorithms for modeling schedules and project roles.  The invention is designed to evaluate the entire workflow process for human factors on a macro and micro level.  This allows the system to model a team’s predictive ability (i.e., to plan and carry out tasks as planned).  The system also automatically detects micro events and uses the data to provide real-time project status.

The value of this invention provides distinct advantages over current methods for modeling projects, which are not able to track and predict the work habits of project teams.  “This recognition from the U.S. Patent and Trademark office confirms what we’ve been professing for years,” said Douglas Clark, Métier’s chief executive officer.  “Métier has unique and differentiated capabilities in the project portfolio management industry that can be used to provide greater return on investment for our client’s delivery of projects.”
