Métier's WorkLenz Awarded Microsoft .NET Connected Logo
Verification validates Métier's commitment to ensuring system interoperability through proven industry standards.
Métier, Ltd., an innovator in statistical project portfolio management software and services, today announced that its WorkLenz application has been awarded the .NET Connected Logo. Built to both expose and consume web services, Métier developed WorkLenz on the .NET Framework to ease enterprise application integration and communication. By displaying this logo, Métier proves its commitment to delivering quality products that empower the modern project enterprise to work forward.
Microsoft .NET is a set of software technologies for connecting information, people, systems and tools through use of web services. Web services are XML-based units of software that interoperate across platforms and programming languages. Much like WorkLenz delivers visibility and transparency across the project enterprise, web services eliminate an organization's islands of information by allowing disparate systems to communicate. By leveraging web services, forward-thinking organizations can link their business processes across the enterprise. This streamlines interaction and data-sharing between projects, programs and distributed teams, enabling improved performance and consolidation.
"Microsoft .NET Connected application software makes it easier for organizations to share or integrate information from their existing IT investment," said Darcy Burner, Microsoft Program Manager for ISV Programs. "We are pleased to have Métier's WorkLenz in the .NET Connected program. Together we are delivering seamless computing with advanced technologies and connected applications such as WorkLenz to improve business processes and reduce costs."
"Through the .NET Framework, WorkLenz can more easily utilize and condition our clients' existing business process information by integrating their enterprise applications," said Brian Pieslak, Métier's Director of Product Development. "For the first time, project-based organizations can turn their existing disparate data into valuable information, using past actual performance to make accurate predictions for future work."
